Willis “Bill” J. Cox, Jr., 70, of Muncie passed away Thursday, July 29th, 2010 at Ball Memorial HospitalBill was born in Laona, Wisconsin on December 15, 1939, the son of the late Willis J. and Ida (Hazel) Cox.He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannie (Garrett) Cox.He served in the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War as well as the U.S. Navy reserves and the National Guard. He was a College Instructor at Ivy Tech Muncie and San Juan College, Farmington New Mexico.He is survived by three sons; Kevin Cox, Johnny (Peggy) Alderman, Jerry (Fiancé -Janetta) Alderman; one daughter; Cindy Cox; one sister, Marilyn Goodrich; two Grandsons; Andrew Goth and Cory Alderman; three Granddaughters; Megan Alderman, Carla Schmid, and Lindsay Walker; and one great grandson, Gaven Philips; three Brother-n-laws; Tom (Barb) Garrett, Jack (Beth) Garrett, Don (Holly) Garrett; many nieces and nephews; Canine companions; Becky, Boo-Boo, and Buddy.Funeral Service at First Congregational Church 7171 N. Pennsylvania, Indianapolis, IN 46205 at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 2nd, with visitation prior from 10:00 am-12:00pm. Military honors to follow service at approximately 2:30 pm at Garden of Memory Cemetery 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie IN 47303.In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the Animal Rescue Fund, Muncie IN.
